Wonderful and touching story after Martin's own surprisingly good novella. Nice to see Martin in a non-comical role, which he does well too. Great performance by Danes and Schwartzman. The musical score really carries this movie, and the songs by Mark Kozelek are cherries on the pie.

Despite a few nice moments, this movie is uninspired, uninteresting, unoriginal and at times even genuinely annoying. Pity to let such a star cast go to waste on this script.
Highschool shooting drama that aims to challenge the viewer's mind but ends up confusing it. The movie has a nice pace, is beautifully shot and delivers a good dramatic story. But the incessant flashbacks become annoying and I find the moralistic undertone that the slut deserves to die and the religious virgin girl deserves to live offensive. Wood delivers a star performance, as always. Thurman is overacting a little. It took me a long time to "decode" the ending, which is annoying and not a compliment for the storyline.

Movie about making a movie. Interesting to get a glimpse into the workings of production, but the story is a little tedious.

A Coen brothers fail. It takes half an hour (!) for the storyline to float to the surface, and after that it stays incomprehensible and a little dull. The acting gods and godesses who star in this movie cannot save it, and only the Pitt character made me giggle a little. Disappointing.
